Basement Finishing in Fishers, Indiana

Create Space for the Life You Want at Home

Your basement might become a place for movies, guests, work, exercise, hobbies, or simply more room to spread out. We begin with what the space needs to make possible, then work through the structure, utilities, circulation, storage, and finish details required to support it.

From Open Space to Finished Rooms

01

We walk the basement, review the existing conditions, and learn how you want the finished level to function for your household.

02

We develop the room layout, lighting, utilities, storage, materials, and construction details around an agreed scope. Optional in-house 3D CAD design allows you to preview the space before work begins.

03

Our owner-led team coordinates framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, flooring, carpentry, paint, and the other work included in your basement project.

04

We inspect the completed rooms, resolve the final details, clean the work area, and walk through the finished basement with you.

One Project, Many Connected Spaces

A finished basement often combines several rooms and types of work within one level. We plan the layout, utilities, surfaces, and details together so the spaces function naturally as a whole.

Layouts & Framing

Organize open areas, enclosed rooms, circulation, storage, and architectural features around the basement’s existing conditions.

Electrical, Lighting & Utilities

Coordinate outlets, lighting, plumbing, ventilation, and related systems within the approved construction plan.

Basement Bathrooms

Add a finished bathroom with carefully coordinated plumbing, fixtures, tile, storage, ventilation, and finish work.

Flooring & Wall Finishes

Select and install flooring, drywall, paint, trim, and surface details that make the lower level feel complete.

Storage & Custom Carpentry

Create built-ins, shelving, concealed storage, doors, and other custom details around the way the basement will be used.

Stairs, Railings & Final Details

Connect the finished basement to the rest of the home through thoughtful stairs, railings, transitions, trim, and lighting.

Finished to Feel Like Part of the Home

Basements come with their own architecture: ceiling heights, utilities, posts, stairs, and existing conditions that shape the plan. MJ Woodstone works with those constraints thoughtfully, using remodeling judgment and custom craftsmanship to make the finished level feel connected to the rest of the home.

Complex Problem Solving

Experience across structural work, utilities, flooring, tile, carpentry, and finishes helps us see how one decision affects the rest of the project.

Coordinated Construction

The many trades and stages involved in basement finishing are managed as connected parts of one agreed plan.

Custom Details

Storage, stairs, trim, built-ins, and unconventional ideas receive the attention needed to feel integrated into the finished space.

Respect for Your Home

Surface protection, dust containment, orderly work areas, and consistent cleanup help limit disruption during construction.

MJ completely redid our stairwell, and turned it into a piece of art (you can see this from the pictures). Bringing in locally sourced materials for the handrails, and combing it with modern panels for the walls and under rail lights. It still impresses me every time I walk down those stairs.
